NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME
Below are photos from 2005. Nearly 450 Coral Ridge Isles residents, City of Fort Lauderdale police officers and fire fighters participated in the 2005 Coral Ridge Isles Homeowner's Association "Night Out Against Crime". Beginning at the North Entranceway on 60th Street, the parade traveled down Coral Ridge Isles Drive. Homeowners came out to wave their support or join the parade down to Floranada Park. It was an outstanding opportunity for residents to meet with the men and women of the police and fire departments who serve and protect our community. Pizza and soft drinks were served in the Floranada Park pavilion after the parade. District One Commissioner Christine Teel attended as did Mayor Jim Naugle and McGruff The Crime Dog. The parade featured the Police Mobile Command Center, Bomb Squad Unit with robot retriever, bomb explosion containment trailer, patrol cars, police motorcycles, mounted patrol, canine unit, and a hook and ladder fire truck. At the park, tours and presentations were given and questions from residents were answered. This is an annual event and all residents are welcome to participate. Click here to view photos from 2004.
